Photography has given me the opportunity to stand in some extraordinary places.
Over the years, I’ve traveled from the volcanic landscapes of Iceland to the rainforests of Uganda, from the wildlife-rich islands of Madagascar to the canals of Venice, always carrying a camera and a sense of curiosity. Along the way I’ve learned that the photographs I value most are rarely the ones I planned. They are the unexpected moments—when the light changes, the weather shifts, or a wild animal pauses for just a second and creates a connection.
The thirty photographs in this gallery are my personal favorites. Some were made after days of preparation and waiting. Others appeared without warning and lasted only an instant. Together they represent the images that continue to resonate with me long after the journey has ended.
What draws me to photography is the ability to preserve experiences that are impossible to fully describe with words: the silence of a foggy morning in Venice, the power of a mountain gorilla’s gaze, the endless summer light of Iceland, or the energy of wildlife living entirely on its own terms.
These images span different countries, cultures, and environments, but they share a common thread. Each photograph captures a moment when I felt fortunate simply to be present—to witness something beautiful, surprising, or fleeting.
I hope you enjoy exploring these thirty moments as much as I enjoyed experiencing them.
